Our Philosophy
Little Lotus Learning is a place where muddy boots are welcome, curiosity is sacred, and each child is free to follow the path of their unfolding.
Our educational philosophy is rooted in the Montessori tradition, with plenty of room for modern kids to be kids.
We foster relationships between children, caregivers, animals, plants, and seasons. We learn through doing, noticing, and caring. We believe that a child who grows up with kind hands will grow strong in spirit and gentle in heart.
We are the school with chickens, after all.
Located in Orangevale, California, you greet horses as you walk into our space. A flock of egg-laying chickens, ducks, and rabbits graze alongside an outdoor mud kitchen and play area. Inside are beautiful, age-appropriate ways to engage growing brains, bodies, and hearts.
We are your partners in creating a custom learning path from toddlerhood to teenager.
