Courtney Wiegman

My name is Courtney, and I’m so happy to be part of the team at Little Lotus Learning. I hold my Bachelor’s degree in Child Development with a Minor in Project Management. My journey with children began in college when I worked as a nanny and from the very beginning, I knew I had found my passion.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of working with children in a variety of unique and enriching environments. I spent time in Kodiak, Alaska, working with the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, where I was honored to support and learn from the Native community. From there, I became a lead teacher at the Child Development Center on Naval Station Rota in Spain. These experiences opened my eyes to the beauty of diverse cultures and the many ways children grow and thrive around the world.

After returning to Sacramento, I discovered a second passion, planning community events and festivals.  This inspired me to start my own event management company. While I love the creativity and energy of event planning, I realized how much I missed the joy and wonder that comes from working directly with children.

That’s why I was so excited to join Little Lotus Learning as a part-time educator. My approach with children is grounded in play, creativity, and self-expression. I believe that when children are free to explore the world through play and art, they develop confidence, emotional awareness, and a lifelong love of learning.

I’m truly honored to be a part of your child’s early journey, and I look forward to helping them grow, explore, and thrive in a nurturing and thoughtful environment at Little Lotus Learning!
